Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem confirmed that the criminal Zionist occupation committed horrific massacres against the people of the Gazza Strip, bombing a group of civilians west of Gazza City yesterday before iftar while artillery shelling early Monday morning targeted tents housing displaced persons, killing three women, including a journalist, in a dangerous escalation and a gross and flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Qassem added on Monday that the occupation is taking advantage of the world’s preoccupation with the US-Zionist aggression against Iran and Lebanon to escalate its massacres against the Gazza Strip and tighten the siege on it by closing the crossings, especially the Rafah crossing.
He explained that the occupation is taking advantage of unconditional US support for its aggression against the region in order to violate the ceasefire and commit more massacres against civilians in the Strip.
Qassem called on all mediators to take action to stop the occupation’s aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gazza Strip, put an end to these violations, and urgently lift the siege on the Strip, stressing that the occupation disregards all international norms and laws by bombing the tents of displaced persons, killing women and continuing the siege.
