In 2016, Khamenei declared the opening of the door to martyrdom and issued a fatwa for jihad in Syria. He described his war in Syria as a war against disbelief, ordering Hezbollah to support Bashar al-Assad from the beginning of the demonstrations in Daraa.

Then he sent militias from Iraq and Iran, who killed tens of thousands of Muslim Syrians, murdering men, slaughtering children and raping women.
He promised his soldiers entry into Paradise!
