The “exceptional nation” of Israel seems to believe “ceasefire” means “they stop shooting; we keep killing” as the Nazi state continues violating its peace deal with Lebanon for a second day in a row.
The Lawnmowers followed up ceasefire violations Wednesday with another murderous encore in typical fashion. After firing on Lebanese residents returning to their battered villages in southern Lebanon yesterday, the Lawnmowers Thursday injured three people with a drone attack on a car, they shelled Taybeh, Bint Jbeil, Wazzani and Kfar Shouba villages, injuring three, and targeted the Lebanese army with three done attacks, The Cradle reports.
Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported several other towns were also shelled as part of what appears to be a tactic to intimidate and enforce its oppressive presence on someone else’s ground.
The Lebanese army warned displaced residents of southern border villages on Wednesday not to enter areas where Israeli troops were still menacing settlements.
The Israeli army opened fire on a group of Lebanese journalists in the southern town of Khiam Wednesday. Although Israeli Army Radio claimed 12 civilians were killed, Lebanese media made no such acknowledgments.
Hezbollah claimed victory in its year-long standoff with the Lawnmowers, saying Wednesday night: “The enemy was unable to advance to the towns of the second line of the front, and suffered heavy losses in Khiyam, from which it withdrew three times, and in Ainatha, Taloussa, Bint Jbeil and Qawzah.
“The only attempt to advance was to the towns of Bayyada and Shamaa in the western sector, which became a graveyard for tanks and elite soldiers of the enemy army, who withdrew from it under the blows of the mujahideen.”
It said it had prepared 300 defence lines south of the Litani River, saying each defensive position was “at the highest level of readiness in terms of personnel, equipment, and capabilities”.
Since the start of the Lawnmower’s invasion on October 1, Hezbollah on War Monitor last night reported Israeli losses stood at:
*More than 130 soldiers and officers were killed and more than 1,250 were wounded.
*At least 59 Merkava tanks destroyed, along with 11 military bulldozers, two Hummer vehicles, two armored vehicles, and two personnel carriers.
*6 Hermes 450 drones, 2 Hermes 900 drones, and a quadcopter were shot down.
It added: “It should be noted that this tally does not include the Israeli enemy’s losses in military bases, sites, barracks, settlements, and occupied cities.”
Lebanese forces announced their deployment across the south Wednesday as part of the ceasefire deal, which is based on the implementation of UN Resolution 1701.
As part of the agreement, Lebanese troops are required to dismantle all Hezbollah infrastructure south of the Litani River, and Israel is required to withdraw its army from Lebanon within 60 days.
The entry of weapons into Lebanon and attempts by the resistance to restock weaponry are prohibited.
A pre-existing tripartite mechanism, including France and the UNIFIL, has been headed by the US to monitor any violations reported by both Israel and Lebanon.
Israel Katz, the new Lawnmower defence minister, said Thursday the UK would take the lead in preventing arms shipments from Iran.
