‘Terrorist unmasked’: Netanyahu reveals he was behind September’s pager attack

Israeli prime monster Benjamin Netanyahu has become so desperate, with his support crumbling faster than his northern front as embarrassing media leaks continue undermining him, that he has now revealed top secret information himself, confirming Israel was behind September’s pager attacks.
Illegal under international law, the pager attacks compromised Hezbollah’s communication network and injured thousands of operatives when their doctored pagers exploded under remote control.
Although Israel was obviously behind it, Tel Aviv had always denied involvement in the pager attacks until Netanyahu’s revealing blunder at the weekend.
Al-Mayadeen reports he made the revelation, saying he was personally responsible for the successful operation that deal a significant blow to Israel’s enemies. Netanyahu pointed out at the cabinet meeting Sunday that his opponents in the cabinet headed by former offence minister Yoav Gallant had vehemently opposed his successful plan.
Launches witch hunt
Even as his revealed a state secret, Netanyahu launched an urgent witch hunt to try and find who was behind continuing media leaks from his secret cabinet meetings. He claimed a cabal in the defence and media establishments was waging a “wild and uncontrolled attack” against him.
Haaretz newspaper on the same day accused him and the Israeli military of “conducting an ethnic cleansing operation” in northern Gaza. It said the month-long operation, known as “The Generals’ Plan”, was a “premeditated act of human destruction”.
Israel’s genocidal forces admitted to the newspaper they were deliberately directing humanitarian aid away from the “cleansed zone” towards the south in a bid to force Hamas to surrender by starving civilians into a contrived famine. Officers admitted they had barred entry of food, water and medicine into northern Gaza since the offensive was launched in early October on Beit Lahoun, Beit Lahia and Jabalia.
“Its important to call things by their name,” Haaretz wrote, highlighting that the forced expulsion of northern Gaza’s residents is being conducted under the direction of its commanders, who are “subordinate to the directives of the political leadership: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu” and his defence minister.
“Instead of talking about the ‘Generals’ Plan,’ we should be talking about Netanyahu’s Orders,” the editorial reads.
Middle East Eye reports Netanyahu – who spends most of his time in a secure bunker beneath the cabinet meeting room, whined “criminal and serious” leaks containing “lies and baseless slanders” had undermined his genocide efforts since the start of the Holocaust.
Brags about pager attacks
The leaks had compromised national security and had provided sensitive information to the resistance and Iran and were hindering efforts to return the hostages.
Then, he bragged Sunday that his successful pager operation, which targeted thousands of resistance activists across Lebanon and parts of Syria, was conducted despite opposition from top officials in the military and intelligence agencies, including recently sacked Security Minister Yoav Gallant, the Palestine Chronicle says.
The Israeli occupation had steadfastly denied responsibility for the attacks despite accusations from numerous parties, including the Lebanese government.
The New York Times reported in September, citing US and other officials, that “Israel” planted explosive material in a recent batch of Taiwanese-brand pagers imported to Lebanon. Pagers ordered by Hezbollah from Taiwanese company, Gold Apollo, were doctored before arriving in Lebanon.
Gold Apollo CEO Hsu Chin-Kuang said pagers were distributed by a European company, which later began independently developing the pagers involved in the blasts.
Explosive material, weighing less than 60 grams, was implanted next to the battery in each device. Over 3,000 pagers were ordered from the Taiwanese company and distributed to Resistance members throughout the country.
