Israel up to its elbows in White House’s widening genocide

Alameen Templeton

America and Israel continue their planning to attack Iran while jointly prosecuting a Holocaust in northern Gaza, with leaks indicating the White House could be trying to hobble Israel’s regional ambitions.

Teheran has warned the US its support for a planned Israeli attack would make it a participant and target in any hostilities. In addition to the mountains of hi-tech weapons the US has flown to Israel throughout the Gaza genocide, it has also deployed troops on the ground to operate a Terminal Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system for Israel’s defence.

Israeli politicians have accused the White House of leaking details of its preparations for the much-awaited attack.

‘Deliberate leak’

The leak came after Israel submitted a document to the US Department last week outlining its conditions for a ceasefire to end the aggression on Lebanon and enable the return of displaced civilians.

Axios report two leaked documents gave details of the Israeli military’s practice manoeuvres for an attack as well as an assessment of its ability to use the hi-tech gadgetry at its disposal.

An Israeli Member of the Knesset on behalf of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud Party, Tally Gotliv, accused the US of purposefully leaking the documents. She said that the incident “was not done by accident.”

“The leaking of the documents was done deliberately to prevent Israel and to hinder Israel from attacking Iran,” she claimed, accusing the Biden administration of being “Iran’s puppet,” Al-Mayadeen reports.

Observers said the leak could indicate the White House’s “genocide hesitancy” could be on the rise as its Arabian allies distance themselves from Israel amid concern their Arabian Gulf oil facilities could suffer in a regional conflict. Or, they said, it’s all a rehearsed pantomime by the Laurel-and-Hardy duo to mislead Iran ahead of an attack.

Underlining the “unexpected consequences” of Iran’s ability to conduct asymmetric warfare, America’s Conoco military base in Syria came under missile attack last night. The US has forces stationed in Syria, supposedly to help it fight ISIS – which in itself was created by the US, Al-Mayadeen reported.

Peace agreement ignored

Meanwhile, the Lebanon parliament is standing with Hezbollah in rejecting two key demands the Israelis have made for a ceasefire on the border. The Israelis say they want a demilitarised zone on the shared border and “freedom of the skies” for their warplanes over Lebanon.

Both demands violate conditions of the 2006 peace agreement when the Zionists were thrown out of Lebanon. That agreement guaranteed Lebanon’s control of its airspace, although Israel has routinely ignored the provision, and enabled a UN peacekeeping force, UNIFIL, to oversee border security.

Israeli officials said the demands were key to any diplomatic solution acceptable to Tel Aviv to end the war, according to the Washington Post.

They want “active enforcement” of the border by Israeli force that prevents Hezbollah from rebuilding military infrastructure , an Israeli official told Axios.

All of the tensions could disappear overnight, as Hezbollah has repeatedly said, if Israel stopped the Gaza genocide that spurred Hezbollah last year to start targeting the genocidal state with missiles.

Iran, meanwhile, took the tensions to the UN Monday. In a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the Security Council presidency, Iran raised concerns about recent statements from US President Joe Biden, who indicated he was informed about “Israel’s” intentions to launch an attack on Iran.

Guilty before the fact

The letter stated: “This inflammatory statement is deeply concerning, as it indicates the United States’ tacit approval and explicit support for Israel’s unlawful military aggression against Iran,” emphasizing that such rhetoric undermines Washington’s repeated claims of supporting “de-escalation in the Middle East.”

Accusing the US of involvement “through its provision of technical expertise and advanced weaponry, including sophisticated air defense systems, to Israel,” the Iranian mission blamed Washington for complicity “in any Israeli aggression against Iran and its consequences.”

“It has already been complicit in the ongoing war crimes and genocidal campaign targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza and Lebanon,” the letter added.

The BBC reports Teheran also called on the Security Council to condemn the US for what it views as a violation of international law and to urge the US, as a permanent member of the council, to “fulfill its obligations under international law and the UN Charter.”
