‘We’ll sue!’: Israel outraged at Macron’s Holocaust hesitancy

Israel is outraged at France’s genocide hesitancy that has seen Paris banning it from an upcoming naval trade show over the Gaza Holocaust, with Foreign Minister Israel Katz threatening legal action.
Katz announced Sunday he had directed his ministry to begin legal action against French President Emmanuel Macron for not allowing Israeli companies to hawk their genocide technology at the SalonEuronaval arms fair next month, Reuters reports.
The ban marks growing tension between France and Israel over Paris’ unease about the Gaza Holocaust and Israel’s expanding war against Lebanese civilians.
“The boycott of Israeli companies for the second time, or the imposition of unacceptable conditions, are undemocratic measures that are not acceptable between friendly nations. I urge President Macron to cancel them entirely,” Katz said on X.
Israeli firms will be allowed to attend the fair from November 4-7, but are prohibited from exhibiting their weaponry at the event that features other major companies, like BAE Systems, whose technology has been freely available to Israel throughout the Holocaust.
Large Israeli companies like Rafael, Elbit Systems, and Israel Aerospace Industries, were hoping their “genocide-proven” death systems would appeal to dictators around the world.
France also banned Israel from participating in one of the most prominent land armament fairs, Eurosatory, in May. A later court order overturned the decision, but not in time for Israeli companies to participate.
Netanyahu vs. Macron
The Euronaval ban highlighted heightened tension between French president Emmanuel Macron and Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has slammed Macron for saying in a Cabinet meeting that “Netanyahu must not forget that Israel was founded (in 1948) by a UN decision, and thus he cannot ignore UN resolutions.”
Netanyahu denied Israel was established by a United Nations resolution, saying that it was rather founded “by Holocaust survivors including from the (Nazi collaborationist) Vichy regime in France.” He didn’t mention they established the state by waging the genocidal Nakba against hundreds of Palestinian villages, driving out all inhabitants that they didn’t massacre.
Netanyahu also slammed Macron over his call for an arms embargo against Israel.
On October 5, Macron called for a halt to arms deliveries to Israel amidst criticism of its genocide in Gaza, Agence France Press reported.
Netanyahu responded by saying in a video “Israel will win with or without their support.”
Macron also condemned Israel’s “indiscriminate” military strikes in Gaza and Lebanon, and voiced his outrage over Tel Aviv’s targeting of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the south of the country.
