US president Joe Biden says the Ismail Haniyeh assassination “has not helped” peace in Arabia, but he’s still enabling Israel’s genocide without restriction.
In the same breath as his mumbled condolences Thursday, he announced “new, defensive US military deployments” including ballistic missiles and drones to ensure the Nazi state has everything to continue sowing destruction in the region.
Biden claimed Thursday night he was still pressing for a ceasefire in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Tel Aviv.
“It has not helped,” Biden said when asked if Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran had ruined ceasefire talks.
Biden said he held a “very direct” talk with Israeli occupation/annexation prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier Thursday and urged him to use the Haniyeh mourning lull to reach a ceasefire deal.
Biden claimed he was still “very concerned” about the soaring tensions in Arabia that have been fuelled very profitably by US weapons given to Israel.
The White House said Biden reassured Netanyahu of Washington’s unwavering commitment to defending “Israel’s security against all threats from Iran”, including from Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement.
The US President also discussed “efforts to support Israel’s defense against threats, including ballistic missiles and drones, to include new defensive US military deployments,” the statement said.
