Global revulsion at “israel’s” attacks on Gaza are rising in crescendo as the Nazi state steps up its atrocities in the pulverised town of Rafah and other parts of Gaza and the US stands impotently by.
The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold yet another session on the Gaza genocide Tuesday afternoon while Washington fiddles with the veto button and EU countries prepare to recognise Palestinian statehood over “israeli” objections.
Spain, Ireland and Norway are Tuesday set to begin formally recognising an independent Palestinian state.
“The recognition of the state of Palestine is not only a matter of historical justice, but we are all aiming at establishing peace. The only route towards establishing peace is the establishment of a Palestinian state, living side by side with the state of Israel.
The state of Palestine must be viable, with the West Bank and Gaza connected by a corridor and with East Jerusalem as its capital,” said Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez yesterday.
The are joining 144 other countries that have already recognised Palestinian statehood.
Meanwhile, more gruesome details of “israel’s” attack on a tent town sheltering beneath the walls of Unwra continue emerging.
Middle East Eye reports Javed Ali, the director of emergency response in Gaza for International Medical Corps described what he saw following following the Israeli attack on a tent camp for civilians sheltering in Rafah that killed 45 people, mostly women and children.
“With this loud air strike that we heard, we just rushed to the hospital and in about five minutes or so after arrival we started seeing ambulances coming in. I think in total we had about 75 patients. Out of those 75, 25 were really critical,” Ali said in a video interview.
“I saw the dead body of a father who was basically holding his child perhaps around three years of age. They were burned and charred. We couldn’t separate them. So we had to put both of them together in a body bag,” he said.
“That was very, very hard.”
EU chief Martin Griffiths brushed aside “israeli” protestations that the Rafah tent camp massacre at the weekend was a mistake.
“Whether the attack was a war crime or a ‘tragic mistake’, for the people of Gaza, there is no debate. What happened last night was the latest – and possibly most cruel – abomination,” Griffiths said in a statement.
To call it ‘a mistake’ is a message that means nothing for those killed, those grieving, and those trying to save lives,” he added.
Not content with smearing itself in genocidal gore, Nazi “israel” is also allowing settlers to enter Al-Aqsa to perform prayers.
Al Mayadeen reports Rafah is experiencing the heaviest bombardments since “israel” launched its genocide.
Its stormtroopers concentrated attacks on the western part of Rafah, with relentless airstrikes and shelling for hours on end.
Rescuers are trying to pick up the pieces with dozens of martyrs and wounded, but many families are trapped due to the nonstop bombing and are out of reach of emergency workers.
Emirati Hospital in western Rafah was heavily targeted by Israeli artillery, while quadcopters roamed the facility firing at civilians and journalists trying to flee.
Even the dead could not rest as stormtroopers exhumed a number of graves in the cemetery of the Zaarib family.
And the wounded seemed to present a danger to the Zionists who also shelled the Indonesian tent hospital and targeted ambulances and civil defence crews near the Tell al-Sultan police station and clinic.
Additionally, helicopters directed heavy machine gunfire at the eastern and southeastern areas of Rafah.
The Israeli forces launched fire belts targeting the Brazil neighborhood in eastern Rafah, causing fires in the area. They also targeted the Yebna and Shaboura refugee camps in the city center, Al Mayadeen reports.
